The objective of the St. Wilfrid’s Parents, Teachers and Friends Association is to advance the education of the pupils in the school. In the furtherance of this objective the Association may:-
- run social events for parents and children
- raise funds to help the school provide “extras” for the pupils

Fathers Day – Lots of wonderful gifts were purchased for our Dads & Grandads and raised a massive £778.00. Thankyou for your support!
Empty Crisp Packets – June 2020 -A big THANKYOU! for the support from all of our parents and children for eating all of those crisps! We have a cheque on the way for £31.00.
A fantastic £502.00 was raised for the PTFA Chocolate Hamper Prize Draw – A big THANKYOU to everyone who supported this event.
Tesco Bags of Help Scheme
We are so excited to be able to tell you all that after 12 months since we first applied we have finally
been given the news we’ve been waiting for.
We are delighted to tell you that we have been successful in our application for the Tesco Bags of
Help Grant Scheme!!
The project: To create a multi-purpose outdoor learning resource from an underused and overgrown
area of land at St. Wilfrid’s Catholic Academy.
Our project along with the other two successful projects in our region will go forward to a vote in
Tesco stores where their customers will decide the outcome by voting for their favourite project
each time they shop. Voting will take place from Tuesday 1st January 2019 to Thursday 28th
The project with the highest number of votes across our region will receive £4,000 (or the amount
that was requested up to this value), the second placed project £2,000 (or the amount that was
requested up to this value), and the third placed project £1,000.
You will be able to vote in Audley Tesco Express, Fegg Hayes Tesco Express, Hanley & Kidsgrove.
