Our Values and Virtues are not just words, but a way of life that we strive to instil in our pupils, helping them live as God would want them to. Each half-term, we focus on two virtues and consider the qualities we seek in one another, as well as how we can embody them through our words, thoughts, and actions.

As recommended by the Diocese, we follow the Catholic Schools’ Pupil profile, a set of 8 pairs of virtues and values.  We are continually seeking ways to develop the whole person and help our pupils put the teachings of Christ at the heart of all they do, thereby creating a community guided by these principles. 

RE lessons, collective worship and assemblies with a focus on the new Values and Virtues are actively encouraged at the start of each new half-term. Throughout each half-term, our students take an active role in leading Prayer and Liturgy services within their key stages. These services, based on scripture that aligns with our focus values and virtues, provide our students with the opportunity to demonstrate leadership and inspire their peers to work together to build the Kingdom of God. 

Each week, in our Gifts from God Celebration assembly, we acknowledge the role models amongst us who exemplify these values and virtues in their daily lives. Individual children displaying the focus virtues are chosen to receive a certificate.
